Starfish

“Starfish is here and I am speechless. Where to start? First of all I am amazed by the beauty of this instrument: it is the most beautiful guitar ever made! The Floyd Rose is perfect and the frets are really amazing…excellent fretwork. One of the best things is the neck. You were right, the neck is vibrating — it feels alive — it is effortless to play. I like the neck profile VERY much…most comfortable profile my left hand has ever touched.

Regarding the sound and those EMGs, you were also absolutely right, EMGs are perfect. I am amazed with the clarity of the clean and distorted sounds. I’ve played the guitar for about 2 hours and I really like how it sounds in various pickup combinations.

Rick, everything about this guitar is perfect…it is a wonderful sounding instrument, comfortable to play and gorgeous to behold. She is a beautiful work of art. Thank you my friend. Thank you for every second you devoted designing and making this guitar. Thank you.

Specifications.

Neck — Asymmetrical profile alternating grain stacked-laminate neck-into-body curly walnut. Tri-compound ebony fingerboard. 24.75" scale. Natural bone nut. Mother of pearl inlays. Stainless steel frets. Dual extra-strength aircraft-grade aluminum (Alloy 2024) fixed reinforcing truss bars.

Body — Sculpted curly walnut. Balanced for standing or seated performance.
Hardware — Floyd Rose Pro. Sperzel locking tuners. EMG-S-SA-85. Knobs and plates are black annodized brass.

Finish — All wood surfaces underwent multiple grain raisings and final finish sanding to #1000 grit. Penetrating waterproof gunstock sealer and final coats, hand rubbed. Organic matte effect with museum conservator's wax topcoat.

Case — Calzone custom-fitted flight case with black velvet lining.
