[Upon receiving Luna] Thank you for making the planet's best guitars... By far.
I've been fortunate enough to demo a few of your creations... The astounding thing is, somehow each new creation tops the previous one!
You already exceed the standards of every maker in terms of playability (those necks!!!), comfort / ergonomics, and frequency response. And then you somehow you manage to set the bar even higher with each next instrument. It is extraordinary.
And I didn't even mention the originality in your designs... Some can't seem to "get it" -- but I love it. I love the juxtaposition in what you often do... combining tight-tolerance aerospace materials with hand-carved, weathered woods. You're pushing the limits of people's brains... and what they're willing to accept in guitar design. I love it.

Oh my, where do I begin.. These last 3-4 weeks have been some of the greatest times of my life. The S2 (prototype) has come in contact with so many new people that can't help but marvel at its appearance. Many have called it a piece of art. Others are still trying to fathom the fact that it's a guitar, and that it's from this planet.
I had to let all the guitar players that I know get a go at it, which was truly a beautiful thing to watch. Pretty much everybody that I've mentioned are just music lovers, so when I let the musicians explore it, their eyes just lit up. They were smiling ear to ear, it was a totally new experience for each of them. Guitar players love the neck. They all can see the huge improvement in terms of comfort and playability. Everything is "easier." I think the musicians (myself included) spend about as much time looking at the guitar as they do playing it.
The way the guitar meshes with my vocals is a smooth blend. The response and clarity of the guitar really compliments the voice... vocals seem to swim more comfortably in the mix. I can play longer, and faster, and with more precision.
I've recorded some music already with the S2 proto and it's sounding huge! So many options, we are having so much fun tracking these songs.. The harmonics sound so full and resonant. I've held out single notes for well over 30 seconds. Spot on intonation, really saving A LOT of time with these tracks without all the usual tuning issues. We are currently running the guitar DI through an Axe FX II, a really nice combo!
I will be sending you some little snippets soon, have been very busy. But lots is being done and it is such a joy to have this instrument to help me fulfill my vision. This has been so fun already! Can't wait to show you guys some tunes! So excited!!
