VIDEO: Ede Wright laying some Earth, Wind, & Fire fisheye funk.
As he was dialing in his Axe-Fx II system and the settings on the guitar, he discovered this warm funk tone and shot an impromptu video. I love how there is so much clean low end to offset the highs. Listen on a system that will reproduce the bass.
Some spanky funk with the Redwood/Cherry. I just did this because I found a great clean funk tone today and used one of my favorite EWF rhythms.
It’s just right, it sounds eq’d and mixed right off the bat. The punch, clarity, and quick response of the guitar really makes this kind of playing flow.
Spearfish is extremely well balanced, punchy and articulate with absolutely zero wooly bottom end. This is the four position split sound. The amp used is a 5F8 Tweed Twin from the AxeFx II XL, sound is direct into Logic Pro. (Ede Wright)
