Spearfish™ guitar via input two of a Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb, stepping through the ToneStyler and exploring 2 & 4 pickup positions on the 5-way. Shimmering cleans filled the room as Daniela strummed chords, dreaming through song possibilities.
I asked if she wanted to dig into distortion. Yes. Swapped the guitar cord over to input one and bumped up the volume to 7.5 as chest thumping power chords roared through the house.
"OH YEAH!!" she yelled, switched into full on rock star mode, right leg forward, dancing in position. "I LOVE THIS!"
"IT'S NOT YOUR ORANGE AMP BUT YOU GET THE POINT!" I shouted back.
The Force is strong in this one. All three of them, really. You can sense their emerging social power, a presence. Whatever is coming transcends playing technique — it is more like a mission.

A few weeks ago when I first discovered them, as I watched Daniela play, I thought my machined aircraft aluminum Element™ neck design could help her really unlock the guitar fretboard. She is playing complex and ever-changing chords while also singing lead vocals. I wanted to see the guitar get out of her way so she could fully get to the music.
I contacted their manager (Luis Villarreal) and asked him to have Daniela look through my website to see if anything was exciting to her:
Thank you so much for your email and kind words. We watched your website and we are speechless, your guitars are truly a work of art, they look amazing. Daniela was super impressed, she like them all, specially one called Old Growth Walnut Skele and the Spearfish-Guitar, she was like OMG. (Luis Villarreal)
Arrangements made, I flew with Spearfish™ to Fort Worth, Texas. Daniela and Luis insisted they wanted to pick up the guitar in person — their entire family driving sixteen hours and two overnights up from Mexico so we could meet.
Such a tremendous honor. Wonderfully gracious!
Rick Toone! I want to commend you for your kindness to Daniela with such incredible gift. Trust me Dany not only play increíble music but will also showcase your guitar in a classy and professionally! Here is a link to a recent performance at Cafe Iguana in their home town I was fortunate enough to fly in from SoCal and see them live it was Epic! Please make a point to see them live! Ñ joy (Henry Arena)
Every few years or so I hear someone whose playing just resonates in my being, as does Daniela's. I've taken chances in the past, gifting Tosin Abasi and Gabe Lopez instruments for this same reason...simply because I love their music. Those connections have become friendships, leading to beautiful adventures and music together.
