End of a long intense day in the shop, this weekend. Alone, my feet propped on a low glass outdoor table. Work jeans sparkled with aircraft aluminum. Neglected can of Modelo warming, condensation staining the concrete, the lime turning sweet.
Half asleep. Maybe more, sometimes.
Cars trespassing, disquiet interludes in the quiet suburban street symphony. Flycatcher hovering, darting, acrobatic above the lawn. My eyes drifting to the tree across the street, leaves splashing in sunset wind, a single dove silhouette fading against blue eastern sky.
iPhone speaker. Listening to Max McCargar's just released album: The Un-Crow. Inhabiting this moment, reminded why I do this, why art is so worthwhile.
I put this out today.
Every track except for the first one (which was recorded last summer after an encounter I had on the bus) was recorded on WJS. As you suggested I did more stuff with tapping (Wolf Interval & Neck Meat). Not something I'm usually interested in but I like how it turned out. Let me know what you think.
